Yes, students are allowed to try the first class before committing to the term. Each class costs $5 to try out if the student decides not to register. Please note, there may not be room in the class for students to try the first day. Our class sizes are limited and fill up quickly.
Classes can only be dropped until Saturday after the first class (when payment is due for the term). After that, no refunds will be issued.
A makeup class will be offered at the end of the term if a teacher had to cancel and no sub was available. No makeup classes or refunds will be issued if a student misses class due to illness or other reasons or if school was cancelled due to weather or nature.
No, your student will not be graded or receive progress reports. Our school is about homeschool families coming together to learn, have fun and build friendships.
Absolutely! Most of our teachers are parents of students that attend classes. Teaching is a great way to help pay for your students classes and contribute your unique skills to our school!
Yes! We are a registered 501(c)3 so donations to our school are tax deductible.
Our registration fees pay teachers, rent, insurance, admin fees (website, email, advertising), classroom supplies and more. Our board of directors does not get paid, they are volunteer parents. Our admin, Samantha, does not take a salary. She volunteers her time to the school because she believes in our children and community.
Great question! Teachers are paid based on the amount of learners in their class. Each class must have learners to make it financial feasible. If there are less than 8 learners in a class, the teacher is paid $20 per class hour. If there are 10 or more learners in the class, the teacher is paid $30 per hour.
Our class sizes are small so each child is given the attention they need. Our art classes have a max of 8 learners. Our PE Games class has a max of 20 learners so they can have teams. Most of the other classes have a max of 13 learners. If a teacher is more comfortable with less than 13 learners, we work with the teachers comfortability. We are here to learn as a community, not make money.
