Laurelwood Preschool is a twice a week, three hours a day, drop off school. All children must be potty trained to join our classes. Class sizes vary between 5-10 children per class. Our Preschool class is for 3-4 year olds and focuses on colors, alphabet, numbers 1-10 and social skills. Our main focus is child led learning, fun and, most importantly, learning through play.
Our PreK class focuses on numbers 1-20, shapes, colors, sitting at a desk, standing in a line, taking turns and social skills.
Our classes are scheduled as 5 week sessions. You may enroll for a single session or multiple sessions. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 12 pm. Snacks will be served, lunch will not.

$350 tuition per 5 week session.
This includes the registration fee.
Preschool ages 3-4 years old.
PreK ages 4-5 years old.
All children must be potty trained.
This class is led by an adult and an elementary student assistant.
Class size is from 5-10 children.
Each 5 week session has a different theme, the toys, books, snack and educational material will change based on the theme.

Circle Time - Welcome song, counting, weather, month/day/year, monthly theme, talking stone, song, silence game, stretching.
Sensory play examples play dough, moon sand, slime, water tables and toys, sensory bin (rice, pasta, beans), musical instruments, sensory bottles, cloud dough, foam, bubbles, paint, fidget toys.
Reading Circle two books, one for the months theme, one for fun
Physical Play examples outside play, balance beam indoors, bounce house (during that months theme), going on a walk around the building or inside the building depending on weather, active songs.
Snack Time - please let us know during enrollment if your child has any special dietary restrictions. Children may eat as much as they would like and take as long as they would like to eat. Hand washing before and after snack. Wet and dry cloths for the children to clean up their spot, designated spot for children to put their dishes when they are done.
Free Play - children can play freely with the theme of the month, ask for a book to be read, play with the tasks available. Sensory play will not be available during this time (fidget toys being the exception). Clean up before circle time.
Circle Time - Active song, talk about the fun we had, what we look forward to, say goodbye to each child as they leave, wind down while parents pick up children.
