Classes are 6 weeks long, meeting on Thursdays. The cost for the 6 week session is $30 per class, plus any applicable supply fees. The total cost for the class is listed on the enrollment form. Once your child has attended the first class, there are no refunds. For the 2026/27 school year we will have 1 Fall, 2 Winter and 2 Spring Sessions. You will need to sign up for each session individually. Some classes will be a continuation while others will only be offered for 6 weeks.
Our classes are designed for ages 4 and up. Parents are required to stay on campus during classes. We have many areas, inside and out, for parents to enjoy.
Most classes are limited to 13 learners.
Payment is due by the first day of class. Payment can be made ahead of time via Venmo or card. If paying with a check, please bring it to the first day of class. If making payment by card, there is a $5 processing fee. Invoices will be sent a week before class starts.
Classes may be cancelled due to low registration, advanced notifications and full refunds will be issued if this occurs.

PLEASE NOTE this year we are implementing a high school program. These classes run on a different schedule. The science class is meant to be taken for the entire school year and will fulfill the Oregon State standards for Physical Science for 9-11 grades for 1 full credit. The art class fulfills .5 credits, if you do art at home you can use this class to fulfill a full 1 credit for High School Art.

11:30-1:00 HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE
This science class is approved by most charter schools and is aligned with the Oregon Standards. If taken for a full school year, this science class will give your student 1 credit for Physical Science, which is typically a 9th grade science class. All middle and high school ages are welcome as long as they commit to doing the work assigned outside of class.
It is crucial students do their work before the lab so they are prepared for the lab and all students have time to complete the lab without having to go over the previous weeks work that is needed in order to participate in the lab.

Each session costs $75 and does not include the textbook. If you would like Laurelwood Homeschool Classes to purchase the textbook, there is an additional fee. This class is in depth and includes a weekly Thursday 90 minute hands on lab. Last year the science class had many fun and in depth labs, one of them was dissecting a frog!
Physical Science grades 9-12- Students investigate the fundamental principles that govern matter, energy, motion, and forces through hands-on laboratory experiences, engineering challenges, data analysis, and scientific inquiry. 12:00-12:55 PE Ages 8+ WHEELS Edition! Week 1 scooters, week 2, bikes, week 3 roller skates, week 4 skateboards, week 5 and 6 will be based on the amount of fun we had with the other weeks! Please make sure your child has the proper safety gear (helmets, pads if you'd like, appropriate shoes) as well as the wheels for the activity. 12:00-12:55 Edible Science 5+ Welcome to Astronaut Academy! Students have been selected as astronaut candidates and must complete six weeks of scientific training before graduating from the academy. Throughout the course, they will investigate the mysteries of space, conduct astronaut-style experiments, solve engineering challenges, and create edible models that reinforce scientific concepts. 1:00-1:55 US Geography - Pacific NW Region - 5+ Discover the beauty and diversity of one of the regions of the United States through hands-on learning and creative art projects! In this class, children will explore the region's geographic landscape . Each lesson includes geography activities and a fun art project inspired by the landscapes, animals, or traditions of the area. Students will build knowledge, creativity, and appreciation for one of North America's unique environments. $40. Teacher Ashley
1:00-1:55 Camping and Scouting Skills In this class students will learn various skills of camping and scouting. Some of the activities we will be doing are setting up tents, building a campfire, campfire songs, cooking, knot tying, building, learning math skills in nature, racing boats and cars, forensics, games and many others. 2:00-2:55 Art For The Littles ages 5-9 Get ready to paint, create, imagine, and explore! Art for the Littles is a fun, hands-on art class where young artists can let their creativity shine. 2:00-3:00 High School Art Zentangle-The Art of Doodling: Slow down, relax, and discover the joy of mindful creativity in this Zentangle art class. There will be a 1 hour zoom class during the week to help students learn more so they come to class ready and prepared for the lab.
This class consists of 1 hour zoom on Tuesdays (optional for students to attend, but if they are not attending the virtual class, they are expected to do the work on their own before the lab on Thursday) and a 90 minute lab on Thursdays. It is crucial students do their work before the lab so they are prepared for the lab and all students have time to complete the lab without having to go over the previous weeks work that is needed in order to participate in the lab.
